target practice

so many of my fellow bloggers who have weighed in on the press photos for Libertine's target collection haven't had good things to say. few have said nothing at all, which means MANY are dare i say it-over these target designer collections. i pray we haven't moved on to celebrity collections, like Madonna and Kylie for H&M. sigh as for Libertine, it is NOT THAT BAD. some key beautiful AFFORDABLE pieces, with their signature whimsical prints. honestly, these are the pieces that one should acquire from these collections. i do understand that the proenza schouler series was much more blantant in their signature colour mixtures and structure/shapes. libertine isn't so much know for shape as they are for pattern and print, and they glimmered on that. also their structured men's shirt's for silkscreening....maybe they still do have a bit of john galliano in them somewhere, anywho here are my picks for purchasing:
love this button-down tee, look at that cornucopia print-delish! (and the shorts ain't bad either...)

love this caplet, it is so feminine and demure, i cant wait to funk/edge it up

this dress is vintagey but yet so modern, thus a must have!

i purposely didnt really comment on patrick robinson's collection because its not very me. never the less, its beautiful and love the batik-y prints. but more for summer weather, which i have far too many clothes for that season already. but i will say i have loved what i have read from mr. robinson on high fashion being unaffordable thus unaccessible to the masses. he wants to use the rest of his career to give fashion to all a la isaac mizarhi. kudos....and bueno suerte!
