this is a little more acoustic than the version from her album i've been jamming to on my iPod on many a subway ride this week.
i love the tone of her crackly voice and these lyrics. the song really just captures how i have been feeling lately. i am just going faster than i have ever before. i commend ms. yamagata for this story she paints with this song. so grungy edge, angry alt grrl rock. my fav. its funny i never understood her huge cult like appeal for a long time, but anthems like this really proved me wrong. so yeah i totally dig now. enjoy!

the new album is very electro. more so than their former albums. but its classic ARS. sweet and indie female vocals. albums on sale on itunes now or 7" vinyl at most indie record stores worth their weight.
i need to go one of their shows. soon. i haven't seen them live yet, and i wish i had been at this union pool show. le sigh.
damn they are a delight.

some vintage prada for you to feast on. the deep jewel tone colours, the ethnic prints. sheen of the fabrics, the box shift dress shape, strappy interesting shoes, the hot pants (short shorts?), cinched belted waists, turbans. all so now, so relevant. so retro. so easy to re-interpret and make your own. this summer is all about those legs. i am so inspired by these images...more from this collection. it really was phenomenal. it moves me.
