old fashioned

something about the tones
greyscale
the shading of charcoal
brings me back
to a time when i was not yet of this earth
but my essence was here
humans were here
and they wanted to capture life
on a tin
the stark contrast
of dark and light
the fading in and out
the simplest of colour
providing the most profound depths
an indeliable marking
of existence
contours
twists and turns
of dimension that took up space
bold statements
of those that have come before us
from
black
and
white

darkness into light.

time after time

lying in my bed, i hear the clock tick and think of you
caught up in circles, confusion is nothing new

flashback-warm nights-almost left behind
suitcases of memories, time after...

sometimes you picture me-i'm walking too far ahead
you're callng to me, i can't hear what you've said

then you say- go slow- i fall behind
the second hand unwinds

after my picture fades and darkness has turned to gray
watching through windows- you're wondering if i'm ok....

what's black and white and grey all over?

'an emotive label on a non-linear path'

so stunning, stolen from a susie bubble post a few days ago
it literally made me drool. no joke, the salivary glands in my mouth started to over produce.
my mouth was watering over this look. the dress. the necklace. the hair. the shoes. the makeup. the stance. the lighting. le sigh.
