the crochet is ON!

crafting is cool
its always been cool to me
and a dear friend has reintroduced me to
CROCHETING
i learned years ago from my grandmother
found some AMAZING necklaces, etc. from etsy and beyond
ENJOY!
i love the ladylike, and alien quality to the way they look
so unique and fascinating
definitely show-stopping pieces everyone would ask you about
One day, i'll be able to daisy chain with the best of them....i hope xo

juxtaposition

of course like everyone in my generation
i spend WAY too much time on facebook
but facebook advertising has gotten better recently
i'd say
(prob taking hints from google ad sense)
and this awesome necklace company
recklessnecklace.com
was on the side of my newsfeed
so i clicked
i thought the name was clever
and that the necklace in the pic was interesting enough
i was pleasantly surprised
but awesome inspiring pieces
with amazing juxtaposition
fond of twisting baubles in unlikely ways
they use all sorta of mediums
vintage chandeliers and jewelry
and then mix'n'match them up
really some genius combos
they had some misses
but some i thought were right on
definitely some ideas for copycats
to DIY your heart out with seemingly boring garage sale and flea market finds
or taking rare finds to new unique heights

love the colourings, the textures, the vintage with a modern twist feel
this is statement jewelry at its best
and of course i love.
getting inspired.
might take some of my grandma's less inspired pieces at home over the holidays
and make some RECKLESS creations of my own.
xoxo

what's black and white and grey all over?

'an emotive label on a non-linear path'

so stunning, stolen from a susie bubble post a few days ago
it literally made me drool. no joke, the salivary glands in my mouth started to over produce.
my mouth was watering over this look. the dress. the necklace. the hair. the shoes. the makeup. the stance. the lighting. le sigh.

oh how the exotic is erotic......
