something about the tones
greyscale
the shading of charcoal
brings me back
to a time when i was not yet of this earth
but my essence was here
humans were here
and they wanted to capture life
on a tin
the stark contrast
of dark and light
the fading in and out
the simplest of colour
providing the most profound depths
an indeliable marking
of existence
contours
twists and turns
of dimension that took up space
bold statements
of those that have come before us
from
black
and
white
darkness into light.
