its a nice day

for a white [paper] wedding
as my mailbox fills up with wedding invites
first i think of all the trees that had to die
second oh no not another one
third shit i don't have a boyfriend
i occasionally allow myself
to imagine
a divine wedding
of my own creation
chanel s/s 2009 couture
paper flowers were delicate details
and would be perfect for this years brides
so 'green' too
i'm just saying
[plus a few more gems in the unique headpieces + bodice realm i found]
and how about that white eyeshadow.....LOVE

its a nice day
to start again

'tis the season

As modernity has made the union of marriage a very controversial subject, my mind plays tricks on me when the spring/summer months still make me think of brides and weddings. sadly, i have only attended one wedding and it was very simple (as it was the bride's second). also as a young woman who is unsure if she even wants to give someone "forever" and then, if i'll even legally bind it because marriage is not yet an equal right merely a religious constrant for closeminded heterosexuals. when many loving couples can't seal their love by law and zillions of ridiculous couples run through marriages like toliet paper, i wonder about the traditions of weddings. thus the extravagant trains and ornate dresses, romantic locales and whimsical ceremonies may become, dare i say it, obsolete. so therefore i am extremely torn when i see these grand gowns that flutter down the runway last as our couturiers reveal their bridal looks. i saw this and couldn't help but share it. they may one day dissapear forever.

the flouncy skirt, and avante garde, slightly daring neckline is unexpected. the spontaneous random loops of the simple but large veil is delicious. i would be a vivienne westwood bride anyday. wouldn't you?
